Manns, Bali Pure want revenge vs UST
Bali Pure made sure it would go into the semifinal round of the Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference on a high note decimating listless Philippine Coast Guard in three sets on Wednesday.
Water Defenders Kaylee Manns knew tougher sets are ahead and the embarrassment they caused on the Lady Dolphins could help them along the semifinals.
“I think it gives us a little bit of confidence,” said Manns.
Bali Pure is safe for at least the third seed in the tournament after finishing with 15 points and a 5-2 record.
“I think Coast Guard was down too, maybe they didn’t play their best and I know we didn’t play our best again,” said Manns. “But we needed to win and it give us the confidence going into the semis.”
Manns said, if given the opportunity, she would want to exact revenge over University of Santo Tomas in the semifinals before going up against Pocari Sweat for the title.
UST blasted Manns and Bali Pure in its first meeting in the preliminaries with a 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-13 beating putting the Golden Tigresses on the vengeful radar of the Water Defenders’ captain.
“I want revenge on UST,” said Manns.
